It's your OK neighborhood bar and grill. We've been here several times and it's been hit and miss. And so though I generally am not a fan of Pro/Con lists, I'm going to make one here. Pros (when it's a hit): -GOOD selection of local beers. I've tried something different every time we've eaten here, and I've enjoyed each of them. (Here's looking at you "Mr. Blue Sky Wheat Ale") -Some of the specials and regular meal deals here are really good. You can get a personal pizza, salad and a drink for a decent price, and it's a very filling meal. -I personally haven't had a bad experience with the pizza. Not the best I've ever had, but certainly not the worst. Cons (when it's a miss): -I haven't found the waitstaff rude. Every now and then when the place is busy you feel a bit left out. -Every now and then, when there are more than just a few tables, it has taken extremely long to get food. -I haven't yet found an item on the menu that's just a knockout. They do the standard pub fare pretty well, though I've found some meals to be just a bit too bland. Overall, I wouldn't sway anyone from going to G Willies every now and then. I can't say I've had a BAD experience here, and most likely we'll be back here more in the future.

This place was a dive in every way. The waitstaff was a bit rude and inattentive, and some of the patrons were completely out of control and had taken the place over in their drunken revelries. I didn't have any food, but the drink menu left something to be desired. Definitely not my first choice of place to go.

So bad. Do not waste your money and your time. Warm beer. Flat Pop. Burnt Pizza. Nothing more to say...Pitiful. It would more accurate for a zero star rating.

G Willies is your good ole neighborhood bar =) I love that they have craft beer and cider and micro distillery spirits, as opposed to your usual corner bar.. Plus their cheeseburger lunch special is actually really tasty and a great value. I come here regularly for lunch =)

Wife and I decided to try G willies for pizza ( our last pizza hangout got the thumbs down for the last time ) I like it, she didn't. Wait staff was friendly and gave good service, nice menu selections,LOTS of TVs, Pizza was good, we got the deep dish with Peperoni, I liked the sauce, a deep red robust flavor, flavor you don't see in a lot of other restaurants bars, plenty of Peperoni, Good amount of Cheese, crunchy bottom and side, almost the perfect deep Dish Pizza, ( my opinion ). The wife on the other hand was not that moved, thou I didn't ask why only because my heart was broken on our up teen time of losing to Keno( why lord why ) any way, I believe well return sometime in the future, would like to try there sandwich's. There prices for regular and premium toppings I was a little surprised about but if its a once in a while thing....Who cares.

Excellent staff, food is amazing, great atmosphere. I love the Joey B pizza, margherita pizza, hummus (made in house including the tahini), grilled eggplant sandwich (I am vegetarian). It's a great place to unwind from a hectic day. Bottom line it's a great hometown bar and Barry is the man

I honestly never ate here, but I have drank here and played trivia and it's good enough for me in that regard. $1 PBR drafts from 5 pm-8 pm is awesome and they also have good happy hour prices. The place reminds me of when I used to go to Bob Evan's (is that still a thing) as a kid, with the 70's-like decor and set up. It's kind of funny, actually. As for the service, it's real good. They check on you often and are prompt with giving you another beer to pour down your gullet. That works for me.

Good food and service. Reasonable prices. Only thing that I didn't like was that they decided to blast music at around 915pm even though there was only a handful of people in the place. So much for the fun conversation that we were having until that moment. Had the nachos without meat, they were good, but I had to ask them to add onion, and instead of the traditional jalapeños, they were topped with yellow peppers. Weird. I asked for additional salsa, and was brought a teeny container. My son had the grilled meatloaf; it was plated very nicely, and had a nice flavor even though it was a little on the dry side. The mashed potatoes that came with it were really good, though! Overall, not bad. Would like to try the pizza sometime.

I love love love this place!! They have amazing pizza. Great Anit-Pasto salad, The Godfather sandwich is my favorite though. Because it's a sports bar, they have amazing specials during games. 25 cent wings during the Red Wings, I can't exactly remember the specials they have for the Tigers games but I do remember them being good. Drink specials like whoah as well. Thursdays are ladies night and they have $3 margaritas. Cheap pints as well. The bartender was let me try this jolly rancher vodka that they made themselves. It tastes exactly like jolly ranchers!! I would highly recommend this place, I've always had a great time whenever I've gone! EDIT (1/31/2014) I went there the other day for my brother in laws birthday. I forgot how good their pizza was! One of the things I love about this place is that they have the toppings I love that not a lot of places have (green olives and feta cheese). So good. Also, I felt bad for our waitress because there was like 15 of us but she was so nice and kind to all of us! Seriously, this place is bananas good!

OK I have been asked to update "yuck" so here goes: The service was awful, the tables were dirty, the outfits the help wore were just embarassing, and the food was SO underwhelming that I am MAD I don't have my own greasy spoon diner somewhere...or a hot dog cart, roach coach, $20 gas grill, or a sandbox, cause a child can makle better use of the space. I thought "yuck" was descriptive though!

With the kids gone my hubby and I wanted to find a place to have a decent, not too pricy dinner now and then. I tried G Willies when it was on 12 Mile, and it was ok, they moved to 13 Mile a bit ago, and we went to see how it had changed. The menu is different than before, which is OK! The pizza is good, I liked the sauce's flavor. We don't usually go out for pizza tho, so we started trying the rest of the menu. I can't get past the Meatloaf Sandwich--it's REALLY tasty, and I am a huge fan of my OWN meatloaf, so that's a big accomplishment. My Husband has tried different sandwiches, and he's given a thumb's up to them all. The food seems more "down-home-cookin'" now, instead of just Gordon's Food deep fried stuff like before, like someone actually put some thought into the prep and production. The astmosphere is typical bar/restaurant, but pretty clean; waitstaff is friendly, mixed drinks were generous--what more can you ask for?
